Hi Team Dungeon

June has brought some promotions: Firstly, well done and congratulations to Bear, Carnot and Ninja Bill who all received brown belts. Well done also to Aiden, Bella, Ethan, Jacob, Jude and Phillip, who all officially progressed into the adult class & gained a belt promotion while doing so. In addition, well done to all of you who earned a stripe to your current belt, keep up the hard work.

Sunday 23rd was an early start for the Blencathra hike.

With the weather forecast as sunny, the gingers were told to prepare with hats, sun cream and plenty of water. Everyone met for a coffee and breakfast, where Bear & Gary then decided to go the harder of the 2 routes to the top. As the day went on, contact between the 2 groups was lost so when the bigger group got back to the rendezvous point at the end of the day with no sign of the others, they decided to wait an hour before calling for the ‘Lakes Search & Rescue Team’ to try to find Bear & Gary. As the sun was still splitting the skies, refreshments were decided on as a good option, so the gingers made their way to the nearest pub. Just as ninja Bill was about to offer to buy the ginger team a drink, shouts of ‘ginger puffs’ was heard across the bar from …. yes you guessed, Bear & Gary. What a relief, no need for search & rescue thought Bill & even better, I don’t need to buy anyone a drink now, we can all go home.

Don’t worry if you missed it, another one is being arranged for 21st July, Kel is organising it and states although you don’t have to be ginger to partake, it is preferable, so Ginger wigs will be available for purchase on the day. You will notice that some of the following wigs may or may not be being currently modelled in the gym: Ginger Gaz (Luigi style) the Tiny wishful look, ginger Reece (pre & post competition), Kels favourite ‘the classic mullet’, gingerdread man Ash style and Carnots euro2024 team draw wig with combo hat, see Kel for full pricelist, all priced in Burnhope marrows, his local currency.

Monday 24th was shark tank for the Dungeons very own Polish wrist locker, Bart, who was 41 yet again 😊, Wszystkiego najlepszego z okazji urodzin (that’s Happy Birthday in Polish, according to Mr. Google). He was accompanied for a double shark tank with Jon who had been a called out by Bart for not doing shark tank on a day that wasn’t his birthday earlier in the month.

Jon would like to say thank you to everyone, except Bill, for not trying to kill him, Bart would like to say thank you to everyone, including Bill, for not trying to wrist lock him.

June saw the new gym completed and ready to use, photos will be on the website soon if you haven’t had a look in the room itself. Its available 7 days a week, gives you the added benefit of grass under your feet & wind in your hair, (if you have any and if you can get the windows open). Either way, a bargain at £10 a month, see Mark for details.
