Hi Team Dungeon
Sorry, it’s been a while since the last newsletter and we’re nearly half way through 2024 already, so here goes. A belated welcome to all of our new team mates, great to see you & hope you’re all having a smashing time on the mats 😊
There’s been a few competitions already this year and there are more to come. The latest was at Newcastle where Andy and Jailhouse Jimmy both competed, Andy winning Gold, Jimmy not realising it wasn’t a jailhouse rules comp, well done to you both. All competitions have been well represented and there are plenty of medals to match the effort, well done to you all and thanks also to the supporters on the day, it’s always a great team effort.
Reece, recently mistaken for Khabib Nurmagomedov with a black sheepskin hat on, found a great way to cut weight for competitions, he got his hair cut and went down 2 weight classes, take notice ‘Jaws’ for your next comp. Talking about nicknames, we now have Tiny, Savage Animal and Carnot, more appropriate would likely be Carenot or Cannot, but either way we all know who you are, where you live & how much you like a Berimbolo.
Bear made some new leather-clad motorcycle friends on his recent Spain trip & lived to tell the tale and while Gaz had his ‘tash remoulded in America at 2 BJJ gyms, Crackers went fishing in France unfortunately only catching a cold. Eat more garlic next time Si, unless of course you’re rolling ☹ Ambers friend Chris went across the border to Scotland, nobody knows whether he was wearing a skirt, trousers or just meeting Amber but the craic, or maybe crack, was good, apparently. What happened in Scotland stays in Scotland, your secret’s safe at the Dungeon.
Well done tho’ lads, Dungeon goes international.
The additional Sunday roll seems to have established into a regular event and a chance for some extra wristlock practice for Bart, together with the words, ‘Whatsapp me that bro’ that are heard at the sessions he attends.
And just in case he hasn’t told you, Ninja Bill has a bad leg, not sure which leg as my ears were bleeding at the time he told me.
There’s a wrestling seminar on at HQ in Sunderland, 8th June as a fundraiser for Micah, time to be confirmed but likely 1pm - 3pm.
Thank you all for your continued and ongoing support
See you on the mats
